  • I am committed to stay directly involved in the day-to-day management and decision making of the business

What does this visa allow me to do?
  • Reside in Australia for 6-8 years from the date of grant of the original Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (188 visa) in the Business Innovation stream
  • Travel in and out of Australia during the life of my visa
  • Include dependent family members so they can reside in Australia with me
  • Apply for permanent residency (888 visa) provided I meet specific criteria.

Am I eligible for a Business Innovation and Investment visa via the Significant Investor Extension stream?

  • I hold a Business Innovation and Investment 188 visa (Significant Investor Stream) OR a Business Innovation and Investment 188 visa in the Significant Investor Extension stream and have held it for at least 3 years
  • I have/will have sponsorship from a State/Territory government
  • I continue to hold my complying significant investment in accordance with the framework in place at the time I applied for the Significant Investor Stream visa
  • I meet the health and character requirements.
What does this visa allow me to do?
  • Reside in Australia for an additional 4 years and manage my investments
  • Travel in and out of Australia during the life of my visa
  • Include dependent family members so they can reside in Australia with me
  • Apply for permanent residency (888 visa) provided I meet specific criteria.
